Back-Ups for Fixed Command Posts

Requirement:
  • In recent times, many DoD and civil organizations have become keenly aware of the need to have "back up" capabilities to their existing fixed command posts or operations centers.
  • Some organizations need to forward deploy a contingent to incident sites.
  • Some organizations need an alternative to their existing facilities in the event they are damaged, destroyed, or denied access to their primary facilities.
  • Sometimes these organizations can not make use of a second fixed facility

The Solution (Part 1) - Mobile Command Centers

RedBlack is involved with many ongoing MCC and EOC efforts in support of various Federal agencies. Our efforts include:
  • Requirements definition and analysis
    • Operational Requirements Document (ORD)
    • System Requirements Document (SRD)
  • Detailed system design to include:
    • Concept exploration or concept design
    • Design review packages (PDR/CDR)
    • Radio subsystems
    • Intercommunication subsystems
    • Audio/visual subsystems
    • Telephone subsystems
    • Wide-Band subsystems
    • LAN/WAN subsystems
    • Safety
    • AC and DC Power subsystems
    • Human engineering
    • Weight and Center-of-Gravity (CG)
    • HVAC
  • Component fabrication
  • System integration
  • Test and evaluation
    • Component and sub-system
    • System level
    • Developmental/Operational
    • Special (e.g. mobility)
  • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
    • Operations and maintenance manual
    • Logistics documentation
    • Training documentation
    • Life cycle sustainment (e.g., technical assistance, maintenance, and spare parts)

The Solution (Part 2) - Fixed Command Centers/ Fixed Command Centers/ Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) Emergency Operations Centers (EOC)

RedBlack provides design, integration, installation, and testing support for fixed-site EOC projects. Each system requires extensive communication systems integration, A/V, and human engineering expertise to ensure that the end product is a secure, functional, and effective system that can be relied upon to enhance situational awareness and command and control capabilities for a crisis management staff.
