RELEASE DATE: 06/01/2005
CONTENT:
Innovative Solutions Consulting Awarded The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) Member Firm of the Year Leading Edge AwardInnovative Solutions Consulting, Inc. (ISC), a local engineering and technical services company headquartered in Southern Maryland, is proud to be named the recipient of the College Of Southern Maryland's (CSM) The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) Member Firm of the Year Leading Edge Award for 2005.

The CSM began the Leading Edge Awards to recognize outstanding and successful businesses in Southern Maryland. The Leading Edge Awards are co-sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership, the Charles County Technology Council, the Calvert County Technology Council, the Southern Maryland Economic Development Association, and the College of Southern Maryland's (CSM's) Entrepreneur and Leadership Center, Small Business Development Center, and CSM's Foundation.

The Patuxent Partnership considers all nominees from TPP's active membership of over 300 outstanding companies of all sizes doing business in Southern Maryland. They selected ISC as the TPP Member Firm of the Year in recognition of ISC's performance and growth in 2004.

Since our inception in 1999, ISC has grown from a one-man organization to a thriving company employing over 65 personnel. ISC has achieved 592% revenue growth for the four year period 2001-2004 and has been profitable every year since startup.

Key among ISC's business accomplishments in 2004 was the Prime Contract award for an Air Force $30M, 5 year, competitively awarded, communications contract. Yet, even this important win added little to the 2004 revenue bottom-line or the company's personnel growth in that year. The major growth reflected above occurred as a result of the company's traditional business lines and from its work supporting NAVAIR Special Communications Requirement (SCR) through partnerships with some of Southern Maryland's most outstanding large firms such as Titan Systems Corporation; Booz, Allen Hamilton; and BAE Systems.

As a Leading Edge Award recipient, ISC is being recognized not only for its notable growth record, but also for their contributions to the Southern Maryland Community. ISC employees contribute manpower and ISC contributes funds to many worthy community programs. Whether it is to participate in a Walk for Leukemia, a Fun Run/Walk for Hospice, or a day of strenuous labor at the Christmas in April Rebuilding Day, the employees at ISC are always ready to give of their time for a good cause and to support their community. Giving back to the community is an important part of the company's philosophy.

Mike Aloisio, President and CEO, attributes his growth and success to the dedication, innovation, and hard work of ISC's outstanding and talented employees. In recognition of their importance to the business, Aloisio encourages and rewards his employees through training programs, supporting their community involvement projects, and through generous bonus and profit sharing schemes.

Southern Maryland's top organizations will be presented their awards during the 2005 Leading Edge Awards banquet, to be held from 6 to 9 pm, June 15, 2005, at the Jaycee Community Center in Waldorf, MD. For further information on the banquet, please contact Alan Kutz, Vice President of the Corporate and Community Training Institute at the College of Southern Maryland.
